Obituary of A. Thomas Monceret

A. Thomas Monceret, 66, of Knoxville (originally of Greenhill, AL), passed away January 30, 2013 after a brief illness. Mr. Monceret was an attorney and attained his law degree from the University of Tennessee. He was United States Marines Veteran and served in the Vietnam War. Mr. Monceret was a member of the Methodist faith and also a member of the Masons and Shriners.

Mr. Monceret was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Monceret; his niece Shanna Black; and his nephew Tyler Koonce.
Visitation will be Friday, February 1, 2013 from 10-2:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Bill Smith and Rev. Mark Woodruff officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Greg Burgess, Ricky Crosswhite, Brian Crosswhite, Bret Monceret, Shane Albright, Cassidy Koonce, and Gatlin Hill.
The family would like to thank the staff at El Reposo Nursing Home for the excellent care and friendship shown to Thomas during his illness.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Greenhill United Methodist Church Building Fund.
