Obituary of Mary Olene McCain

Mary Olene McCain, 85, of Lexington, passed away September 13, 2010, at her residence of an extended illness. She was a homemaker, sold Avon, and was a life -long member of Nebo Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was the last surviving charter member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Women. She was also a loving mother, grandmaw, and friend to all. She will be greatly missed. Survivors include: Husband : Neely McCain, of 63 years Sons: Dwight (Brenda), Mike, Marty (Lisa), and Kelvin (Teresa) McCain Brother: Stancel Putman (Helen) Sisters: Helen Cole (Euell) and Sharon Trousdale (Levon) Sisters-in-law: Patsy Putman and Martha Putman 9 Grandchildren and 5 Great-grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, Tollie Minton and Lutie Balch Putman; and her brothers W.D., Eulys, and Gerald Putman. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Nebo Cumberland Presbyterian Church and also Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the church. The funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. at the church with Bro. Ronnie Burgess officiating. Burial will be in Nebo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be the grandsons: Jamie, Steven, Dusty, Kyle, Austin, and Kaleb McCain. Donations may be made to Nebo Cumberland Presbyterian Church in her memory. Greenhill Funeral Home directing.
