Jerry Thomas Melton, 68, of Florence, passed away August 8, 2010 at his residence. He was a painter and a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include: Wife: Hazel Marie May Melton - Florence Sons: Chris Melton and John Melton Step-Sons: David Hill and Jeff Hill Daughters: Angela Moore, Lisa Miles, Darlene Haswell, and Kim Wallace Step-Daughter: Teresa Wiley Brother: Leo Melton Sisters: Wanda Chandler and Hilda Comer (19) Grandchildren and (21) Great Grandchildren Visitation will be Tuesday, August 10, 2010 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday, August 11 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel with Bro. Charles Kretzer and Bro. Tim Grigsby officiating. Burial will be in Emmaline Stutts Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Roberts, Corey Burbank, Tyler Melton, Shawn Clemons, Donald Miles, III, and Samuel Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Weeks, Luke Melton, Tristen Hill, and Edward Roberts. The family would like to thank Hospice of the Shoals, all the bath girls, and everyone for their prayers and food. God Bless all from the Melton Family. Greenhill Funeral Home is directing.
