Obituary of Roberta Abercrombie

Roberta Jordan Abercrombie, 93, of Loretto, TN, passed away July 25, 2010 at her residence. She was a retired school teacher, a charter member of Gum Springs Baptist Church, and a member of the Lawrence County Retired Teachers Association. Survivors include: Daughter: Rozell Thigpen and husband Gerald Son: Kenneth A. Abercrombie, Sr. Grandchildren: Kenny Abercrombie and wife April, John Abercrombie, Christy Wilson and husband James, Curt Abercrombie and wife Meagan. Great Grandchildren: Jake, Hunter, and Gram Abercrombie; Courtney Abercrombie; Bailey Urban and Samuel Wilson. Preceded in death by: Husband: Milburn Curtis Abercrombie Parents: Andrew and Belle Jordan Brothers: Clarence, Clayton, and Alton Jordan Sisters: Erna Powell, Pauline McGuire, Valeria Jordan , and Lois Ive (Jack) Rucker Visitation will be Wednesday, July 28, from 5:00-8:00pm at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Robert Adair officiating. Burial will be in Restview Cemetery in Loretto. Pallbearers will be Willie Lee Flippo, Keith Smith, Hugh Don Jordan, Elbert Powell, Patton Powell, Johnny Powell, Jr., and Terry Laws. Memorials may be made to: Gum Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, 932 Wesley Chapel Rd., Lawrenceburg, TN 38464; or to the American Cancer Society. Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
