It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Janet M. Vermeire.
Visitation will be held for Janet M. Vermeire, 77 of Decatur from 1:00 til 3:00 at Greenhill Funeral Home in Florence on Sunday, March 28. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 28 at Greenhill Funeral Home following the visitation. The Reverend Dr. Terry Greer and Preacher Glen Richardson officiating with internment in North Carolina Cemetery in Greenhill.
Mrs. Vermeire passed away Friday, March 26 at her residence in Decatur. She was born on August 17, 1932. Mrs. Vermeire worked as secretary to the Mayor and City Manager of Wyoming, Michigan. She moved to Cullman, AL in 1976. She moved to Decatur, AL in 1992.
Survivors include husband of 59 years George Vermeire, son Gregory Vermeire, daughters Pamela Hamner and Cynthia Meachum, six grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
