David Lee Ellis, 57, of Loretto, passed away March 8, 2010 at St. Thomas Hospital of an extended illness. He was a Deputy Sgt. on the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department, a Christian, a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, and a member of Sons of American Legion. Survivors include: Wife: Pricilla Kay Walters Ellis Son: Stephen Lee Ellis and wife Beth Daughter: Shelley Rose Ellis-Ferrell and husband Johnny of Knoxville, TN Brother: Floyd Edward Ellis (5) Grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents, William Floyd Ellis and Rose Coots Ellis; his son Jason Ellis; and his sister Teresie Ellis. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 10, 2010 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Thursday, March 11 at 1:00 PM in the chapel with Bro. Mahlon Fisher and Bro. Anthony Potts officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Adam Brewer, Roy Springer, Jeff Dean, Jeff Reed, Mike Pope, and Nathan Neese. Honorary Pallbearers will be Members of the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at: The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Donor Services P.O.
