Geneva Inez Hollis, 86, of Killen, passed away February 18, 2010, at Helen Keller Hospital after a brief illness. She was a member of Elgin Church of Christ, and a retired grocery store owner. Survivors include: Son: James Hamilton Hollis and wife Marvolyn - Greenhill Daughters: Brenda Jane Holmes and husband James - Killen; Electa Gail Williams and husband Jimmy - Tuscumbia; and Norma Jean Johnson and husband J. J. - Killen Sister: Ada L. Lindsey - Clarksville, TN Grandchildren: Wayne Springer, Cynthia Flatt, Jimmy Hollis, Debbie Brown, Ronica Scott, Jeff McGee, Heather Hankins, Michele Crittenden, and Kendra Balentine. (12) Great Grandchildren and (11) Great Great Grandchildren Preceded in death by: Husband: Van Hamilton Hollis Brother: Charles W. Belew Sister: Mattie L. Fulmer Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00-8:00pm at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Sunday at 2:00pm at the funeral home with Bro. Tim Grigsby and Bro. Bobby Holden officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wayne Springer, Larry McMurtrey, Jeff McGee, Jacob Scott, Jason Hankins, and Lee Crittenden. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Helen Keller Hospital for their care. In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made to the Elgin Church of Christ. Greenhill Funeral Home is directing.
