Obituary of Lewis Shaw

Lewis Edward Shaw passed from this life on Friday, February 5, 2010 at the age of 57. He was born September 2, 1952 in Lauderdale County. He was a 1970 graduate of Rogers High School. He had been a member of the International Brotherhood of Carpenters Local Union 1209 since 1975. Lewis was preceded in death by his father, Roy "Ed" Shaw. He is survived by his wife Kim Shaw of Greenhill, son Lewis Edward Shaw, Jr. "Eddie", his mother, Sue Kennedy Shaw of Florence, Sisters, Renee Short (Danny) of Huntsville, Suanne Sockwell (Craig) of Muscle Shoals and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2010, at Greenhill Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tom Moye officiating. Burial will follow at Richardson Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Steve Clemmons, Wayne Oldham, Dale Chandler, Danny Jones, Darrin Shaw and Mike Yeager "In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Milner's Chapel Church or the charity of your choice. Lewis never met a stranger. He enjoyed meeting and sharing life stories with everyone he met. He always told a good story. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends. Everyone who knew him loved his deep jolly laugh - "Continue to laugh at what made us laugh-smile and think of me. Speak to me as you always have, do not use a different tone, do not be sad. Life means what it has always meant. The link is not severed. Why should I be out of your soul if I am out of your sight? I will wait for you, I am not here, but just on the other side of this path".
