Obituary of Doyce "Buck" Jackson

Mr. Buck Jackson, 60, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2011 after a brief illness. The funeral service will be conducted in Alabama. A visitation will be on Wednesday from 6 -8 pm at Wilkerson Funeral Home. A native of Alabama, Buck had been a Pitt County resident for the last 25 years. He was co-owner and operator of Paragon Insulation, Inc. He had been a member of the local Church of Christ in Greenhill, Alabama. Buck is survived by: His wife, Joyce Bishop Jackson of Greenville; Daughters: Kim J. Comer and husband, Scott, of Smyrna, TN, Sheri J. Bullock and husband, Donnie, all of Smyrna, TN, Nikki Jackson of Stokes, Marisa J. Bedell of Greenville, KY and Daniele Jackson all of Greenville, NC; Step-sons: Joseph Johnson and wife, Sandra; and Michael Johnson all of Greenville, NC; Eight grandchildren; Brothers: James Jackson of Stephenson, TN and Robert Jackson Smyrna, TN; Sister: Annette Davis of Elkmont, AL. Buck will be remembered by his family as a fun loving dad and wonderful grandfather. He was devoted to his work and his family, and enjoyed NASCAR racing and riding horses.
