Herbert Snowden Chamblin, 74, of Killen, passed away December 24, 2009, at ECM Hospital in Florence, AL. He was a member of Centerhill Church of Christ and a supervisor at Nichols Wire. Survivors include: Special Friend: Peggy Chamblin Sons: Herbert Chamblin, Jr.-Maryland; and Anthony (Tony) Chamblin (Cassie)-Killen. Daughters: Paula Anders -West Virginia; Karla Berry (Benny) -West Virginia; Teresa Masonia (Bo)-Killen; Kim Lindley (David)- MS; Kristi Edwards-Muscle Shoals. Brothers: Kenny Chamblin-Foley, AL; Lewis Wiley-VA; David Wiley-VA Sisters: Mary Betty Broy-VA; Tammy McDonald-VA; Janice Mercer-VA; Sandy Everhart-VA; Carol Lee-VA. (11) Grandchildren; (10) Great- Grandchildren Proceeded in death by: Father-Thomas Wiley; Mother-Nannie Mae Wiley; Nephew-Shawn Everhart and a sister, Delores Puckett. The funeral service will be Monday, December 28, 2009, at 2:00pm at Greenhill Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Grigsby and Bro. Orville Curtis officiating. Burial will be in Centerhill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00-2:00 on Monday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be: Colby Holden, Matt Davis, Colin Chamblin, Coltin Chamblin, Jeff Johnston, Kevin Wiley, Greg Johnston, and Mike Davis. Honorary Pallbearers will be Nichols Wire Employees. Our dad loved his family dearly. He never met a stranger; he loved his horses, loved to fish and hunt, and above all being around anyone that he could talk to! In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Centerhill Church of Christ building fund. Online obituaries may be signed at timesdaily.com or greenhillfuneralhome.net. Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
