Obituary of John "Kirk" Bracey

John Kirkland ("Kirk") Bracey, 52, of Florence, passed away November 25, 2009 at his residence after a short illness. He was a Methodist, retired from Heat & Frost Insulation and a member of Local 78 in Birmingham. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn A. Prince Bracey; son, Jason J. Rizzo; daughters, Kirsten Kaye Bracey and Sherri Clemmons (David); brothers, Harry Lee Bracey, Jr., and Kerry Bracey (Debbie); grandchildren, Cortney Davis (Nathan), Seth Clemmons, Erin Clemmons, and Paige Rizzo; one great grandchild, Alona Grace Davis; his mother, Marjorie E. Bracey, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Lee Bracey, Sr. Visitation will be Friday, November 27, 2009 from 6:00-9:00pm at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Saturday at 2:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Emmaline Stutts/Milners Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be nephews, Harry Lee Bracey, III, Jamie Bracey, Daniel Bracey, Michael Bracey, Matthew McCord, Brian Bradley, Brandon Bratcher, and Ryan Mix. Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Sykes and Larry Woods. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Lyman Mitchell, Jr, Dr. Edsel Holden, Dr. Tony Holden, Dr. Patel, Dr. Daughtery, and Dr. Hagler; also, Blue Water Hospice (Claudia and Charlie) Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
