Obituary of Everett "Scotty" Carter

Everett Scott "Scotty" Carter, Age 59 of Florence, AL passed away Monday October 19, 2009 of a brief illness at ECM Hospital. He was born in Newport, Arkansas and was of the Baptist faith. He was employed as a carpenter for Osteen Tile & Marble Company. He was preceded in death by his father, Everett D. Carter and a son, Christopher Scott Carter. Survivors are: Wife, Gail Dyar Carter of Florence, AL; Mother, Lydia Ann McCoy Carter; Daughters, Becky Carter Joiner and husband Chris T. Joiner and Sharon Leigh Carter; Grand Daughter, Brittany Michelle Vinson; Brother, Guy Carter; Grandchildren, Ashley, Mackinley, Austin, Roy, Christin, Gannon, Bayley and Remington; Several Aunts and Uncles in the Greenhill Area and across the South East. The family would like to thank the Volunteer Fire Dept. & Rescue Squad Paramedics for their assistance. Funeral Service will be Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Greenhill Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Chris Underwood officiating. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 21, 2009 from 6 to 9 PM at Greenhill Funeral Home. Pallbearers are: Eddie Huff, Jason Butler, Everett Chandler, Bobby Langley, Audie Petrosky and Roy Littrell. Honorary Pallbearers are Nathan Clanton and Tommy Joiner. Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
