Tea Jay Bivens, 32, of Florence, passed away September 9, 2009, at ECM Hospital in Florence. He was an iron worker for Mid-Steel in Mobile, and a Baptist. Survivors include: Wife: Connie Bivens; Mother: Rebecca Bivens; Step-daughters: Lynn Miller and Amanda Moore; Special granddaughter, Shelby, who loved him dearly; Grandson: Opie; Two step-grandchildren; Brothers: Billy Bivens of Leoma, TN, Dwayne Bivens of Leoma, Chester Bivens and wife Regenia of Leoma, John Boy Bivens of Leoma, and Stevie Bivens of Five Points, TN; Sisters: Brenda Bivens of Leoma, Mary Lynn Brewer and Nathan of Lawrenceburg, Rose Hunt and Tracy of Leoma, and Charlotte Bassham and Brent of Lawrenceburg. "Tea Jay, I will miss you so much. I love you always, Your wife, Connie." Visitation will be Friday, September 11, 2009, from 10:00-1:00pm at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00pm at the funeral home with Bro. Royce Creekmore and Bro. Bobby Belew officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Pallbearers: Brett Bassham, Eric Hunt, B. J. Bivens, Ken Ferguson, Tommy Wooden, Tommy White. Greenhill Funeral Home is directing.
