Richard "Dick" Snider II, passed away Monday, Dec. 5, 2016 from an extended illness. Richard was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Richard loved children and dedicated his life to working with youth and helping others. He spent many years volunteering with Greenhill Dixie Youth Baseball Program and Alabama Dixie Boys Baseball Program. He was a member of Greenhill Volunteer Fire Department and Red Knights Motorcycle Club. Survivors include: Wife: Jessica Behel Snider Children: Laura Snider Elliott(Cody) - Cottondale, AL Johnny Lee Behel - Florence, AL Richard "Rick" Snider, III (Nikki) - Florence, AL Samantha Snider - Florence, AL Saydee Douglass - Florence, AL Brother: Mark Fredrick Snider(Stephanie) - Ralph, AL Grandchildren: Caleb, Madison & Trent Frith - Cottondale, AL Carson Wright & Sadee Douglass- Florence, AL Preceded in death by: Parents: Richard C. & Lani L. Snider - Northport, AL Brother: Christopher S. Snider Visitation for Mr. Snider will be Thursday, Dec. 8, from 6:00-8:00pm at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 8:00pm. Special thanks to Amy Creamer & Christy Sora for your kindness & care at our time of need. Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
