Jean Lyles French Carroll, 71, of Greenhill, AL, passed away at her residence July 27, 2009. She was a member of Mt. Nebo Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a retired surgical nurse at Crockett General Hospital in Lawrenceburg. Survivors include: Husband: Thomas Joe Carroll - Greenhill; Son: Mike French - Lawrenceburg; Daughter: Patty French Stewart - Stantonville, TN; Stepsons: Matt Carroll, and Mark Carroll, Betheltown, AL; Brothers: Harold Lyles and Johnny Lyles; Sister: Helen Lyles Matthews; Grandchild: Stacey Todd; Great Grandchild: Luke Todd; Step Grandson: Matthew Carroll. Preceded in death by: Parents: Willie Clyde and Bertha Mae McClannahan Lyles; Brother: Jimmy Lyles; First Husband: James D. (Red) French. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, July 29, from 6:00-9:00pm at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Thursday at 11:00am at the funeral home with Kenny Morgan and Steve Hammond officiating. Burial will be in Pettus Cemetery. Pallbearers: Bill Gable, Steve Corum, Jim Dean, Rex Shaw, Jim Lamb, and Hollis Smith. Honorary Pallbearers: Jim Green and Ralph Hurst. Greenhill Funeral Home is directing.
