Obituary of Evelyn Quillen

Margaret Evelyn Quillen, 73, of Greenhill, AL, passed away September 6, 2016 at ECM Hospital. Mrs. Quillen was a Registered Nurse and a member of Milner's Chapel United Methodist Church. Evelyn worked her entire career serving others. She began her nursing career at ECM Hospital where she served for 10 years. She then transferred to Florence Hospital and served for 27 years. She retired in 2007 after serving 10 years at Hospice of the Shoals. Mrs. Quillen is survived by: Husband: Billy Ray Quillen Son: Jeffrey Quillen (Tammy) Daughter: Susan Meyer (Randy) Brother: Curtis Clemmons Sister: Eulene Johnson Granddaughter: Lillie Meyer She was preceded in death by parents John Herman Clemmons and Ada Frances Bourland Clemmons. Visitation will be Thursday, September 8, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Friday at 1:00 P.M. with Mike Samuels and Rickey Green officiating. Burial will be in Emmaline Stutts Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Albert Jones, Royce McGee, Leon Kennedy, Bradley Gooch, Ed Pettus, George Williams, Franklin Kennedy, and Greg Kennedy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Milner's Chapel UMC. Greenhill Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
