Obituary of Betty Dickerson

Betty E. Dickerson (Lawson), beloved wife of Kenneth Dickerson for 73 years, and mother of James Braxton Dickerson and Denise Lorrie Dickerson, passed away Saturday morning at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her parents James E. Lawson and Mattie A. Lawson (Haddock), brothers Thomas, Reeder J., Grover E., William Talbert, Delbert Lee, and James Oliver, a sister, Rhoda Watkins, and a great-grandson Nathaniel Karl (Fidg) Dickerson.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Faith Hawkins (Dickerson), Michael Dickerson, David Dickerson, Lorri Shannon (Dickerson), Marie Dickerson, James Dickerson, II, Kenneth (Colt) Dickerson, and Kristina Forrester (Sabatini). Great-grandchildren Campbell Dickerson, Erik Dickerson, Conner Shannon, Dylan Shannon, Addison Shannon, and Falcon Dickerson.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 19, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Greenhill Funeral Home. Funeral will be Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 11 am in the chapel at Greenhill Funeral Home, burial to follow at Tabernacle Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Michael Dickerson, Charles Dickerson, Adam Dickerson, Aron Dickerson, Kenneth (Colt) Dickerson, and Phillip Watkins,
Honorary pallbearers are James B. Dickerson, Sr., David Dickerson, Otis Ray Dickerson, Gary Dickerson, James B. Dickerson, II, Bruce Lawson, Keith Rhodes, Bobby Drinkwine, Nick Holt, and Michael Watkins.
