Obituary of Virgilene Hale
Please share a memory of Virgilene to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Virgilene Hale, 94, died peacefully at her home on July 2, 2016. Born in 1922, Miss Virgilene was widely known in the Antioch community as a hard worker who continue to cut her own yard and maintain her beautiful flowers until the very end. She had an amazing recall of her 94 years and told stories of her entire life with great detail. Virgilene was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. She worked at several knitting mills in the area before quitting to take care of her ailing husband, J.T., until his death. No one had a more dedicated caregiver.
Along with her husband, Virgilene was also preceded in death by parents Dock and Maggie Tidwell, sister Marguerite Trousdale and husband Gilbert, brothers Earl Tidwell and Floyd Tidwell and wife Lucille. She leaves behind a host of good friends and neighbors and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Debbie Dinges and Melissa Bell of Center Star Family Practice for the loving care given to their aunt. They would also like to thank her neighbors and friends of the Antioch community for the kindness shown to Aunt Virgilene. The family wishes to give a special acknowledgement to Edna McCormick for her friendship and kindness to Aunt Virgilene.
