James Roy Heathcoat, 67, of Killen, passed away July 2, 2016, at his residence. He was a retired carpenter and a member of the Lone Cedar Church of Christ, Masonic Lodge 402, and the Carpenters Local, and a U.S. Army Veteran.

Justin Heathcoat and wife Heather

Brother: Elvis Heathcoat and wife Lois

Father: Leonard James Heathcoat
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 5, from 11:00am-1:00pm at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00pm in the chapel with Tim Grigsby officiating. Burial will follow in North Carolina Church of Christ Cemetery with Military Honors.
Pallbearers will be Joey Krieger, Scott Miller, Kevin Short, Charles Wallace, Mike Danley, and Jonah Danley.
Honorary Pallbearers will be his grandchildren- Grant Holt, Hayden Heathcoat, Olivia Holt, Brendan Heathcoat, Skylar Heathcoat, and Scarlett Heathcoat.
The family would like to thank Hospice of the Shoals and the Lone Cedar Church of Christ for their help during the family illness.
