James Robert "Bob" Murks 74, of Crete, Illinois passed away peacefully on June 5, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Faye Murks nee Barnette; the loving father Patricia "Patty" (Steve) Gifford and Tammy Murks; the cherished grandpa of Steve Jr., Josiah (Corinne), Rachel (Caesar) Roberts and Ben; the Great grandpa of Declan, Aidan, Seamus and Charlotte Gifford, Paisley and Kaden Roberts; and the dear brother of Eythel Scott, Nell (Milton) Newton, Paul David (Evelyn) Murks, and Donnie (Jennifer) Murks.
Bob was preceded in death by his siblings, Eugene, Joyce Ann Thigpen and Junior.
Bob retired from the Ford Motor Company Stamping Plant in Chicago Heights IL.
The funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 11, 2016 in the chapel of Greenhill Funeral Home. The burial of ashes will follow in Grisham Cemetery in Lexington, AL.
