Mr. William (Bill) J. Nelson, 75, of Florence, passed away June 21, 2011, at his residence after an extended illness. He was of the Pentecostal Faith, labor foreman for Craig Construction Co., and a member of Local Labor Union 366 of Sheffield. Survivors include: Wife: Sue E. Nelson Sons: Ricky Nelson Michael Nelson (Teresa) Daughter: Debbie Newborn (Alex) Sister: Rachel Ealy Grandchildren: Hollie (Mark) Garner, Wesley Nelson, Joshua (Jessica) Nelson, Orion and Zak Newborn, and Trenton Nelson Great Grandchildren: Summer and Nicolas Garner, and Heidi Nelson Preceded in death by parents: John William and India Nelson Visitation will be Thursday, June 23, from 6:00-8:00pm at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Friday at 2:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Loretto, TN. Pallbearers will be Wesley Nelson, Josh Nelson, William Vinson, David Vinson, Daniel Vinson, and Steve Grider. Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Watkins, Jonathan Vinson, Mark Garner, Jimmy Dale Vandiver, and Kenneth Crosswhite. Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
