Obituary of Arrie Suggs

Arrie Mae Fowler Suggs, 100, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 18, 2016 at her home in Killen, AL. She was born in Green Sea, SC on November 21, 1915 and resided in Charlotte, NC over 40 years where she retired from Union Carbide. She was predeceased by her husband Marion A. Suggs, her son Jimmy Wayne Suggs, and thirteen younger siblings. She is survived by her children Milton Suggs of Riverview, FL; Bonnie Nance of Killen, AL; Barbara (Jim) Myers of West Monroe, LA; Rose Wright of China Grove, NC; Lillie (Charlie) Cauble of China Grove, NC; and Mike (Kathy) Suggs of Brown Summit, NC. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM, Thursday, April 21 at McEwen Funeral Home, 5716 Monroe Rd, Charlotte, NC. The funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Friday with Pastor Dennis Hanvey of Florence, AL and Pastor Jeff Johnson of Belmont, NC officiating. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park. A special thank you to Hospice of the Shoals for all their tender care. Greenhill Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.
