Obituary of Edna Hannah

Edna Lucille Redding Parrish Hannah, 95, of Lexington, AL, passed from this life to be with the Lord on June 8, 2011. She was a resident of Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home. Mrs. Hannah worked in dietary at Rolling Acres Nursing Home and was retired from Humana Hospital. She was known for her delicious homemade coconut cakes. Survivors include two special nieces, Diane Corum and Kathy Rickard; numerous nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law Dorothy Redding. She was preceded in death by husbands Dalton Parrish and Clay Hannah; sisters Agnes Rickard and Opelia Tucker; brothers Bobby, Hestle, Benny and Robert Lee Redding Jr.; and her parents Delia and Robert Lee Redding. Visitation will be Thursday, June 9, 2011, from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Friday in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 A.M. with Stanley Hargett officiating. Burial will be in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank all the Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home staff for the wonderful care given to their aunt. They would also like to especially thank Dr. Steve Wampler, Tammy Moore, and Lee Ann for their loving care. Greenhill Funeral Home directing.
