Myra Patterson was a good treasured friend of my precious aunt Ruby Hines who passed in 1985; She was my 3rd grade awesome teacher and, finally, she was the mother to a classmate, Kim, whom I always loved and considered a friend. She was a fun person for young & older& could make the bad situation seem good, from her perspective! Mrs Patterson endured too many heartbreaks & losses being that of her husband, two sons, parents. Yet, she was an awesome lady and terrific teacher who loved her students. She would read to her students making the story so visible & emotional, so enjoyable. She was a loving & personable teacher but more, she was like a mother to each of her students. My 3rd grade year was so fun & I was so happy sharing that year with Kim who also was assigned to her mom's class with me. Kim, I know too well the loss you are feeling. Please know your mom was a dear person who touched the lives of many youngsters. Love you sweet girl & I share your heartbreak. Praying for you & your family.
