Obituary of Ruth Horton

Ruth Moomaw Horton, 92, of Florence, AL, passed away January 6, 2016, after an extended illness. Mrs. Horton was retired from Genesco and Lee Company and was a member of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Horton is survived by:
Daughters: Linda Abston (Bill) and Teresa Riedout (Ricky)
Brother: Gene Moomaw (Glenda)
Sisters: Ruby Glover and Lucy Roberson
(7) Grandchildren and (11) Great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by parents Andrew Moomaw and Cecil Dodd Moomaw; husband James H. Horton; and sons Phillip Horton, Gary Horton, and Don Horton.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 9, 2016 from 12:00-1:00 P.M. at Community Freewill Baptist Church (CR 24, Florence). The funeral service will follow at 1:00 P.M. with Bro. Malcolm Scott officiating. Burial will be in Community Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Riedout, Shane King, Wendell Dean, Joshua Beard, Benjamin Matthews, Scott Green, and Kendell Dean.
In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Community Freewill Baptist Church.
