Janis Elizabeth Hughes, 69, of Florence, AL, passed away November 19, 2015, after an extended illness. Mrs. Hughes was a member of the Baptist faith. She is survived by: Son: Kevin Hughes and wife Donna of Florence Daughter: Kelley Jones and Fiancé Tim Anderson of Waynesboro, TN Brother: Travis Fields of Florence Sisters: Eva Nell Clifton of Loretto, TN; Peggy Freeze of Florence; and Brenda Gresham of Florence Grandchildren: Tyson Johnston, Tori Johnston Jones (Tyler), Maggie Odle, Rebecca Hughes, and Ryan Hughes She was preceded in death by parents Crite James Fields and Grace Thornton Fields; brother Coy Fields; and sister Judy Fields. Visitation will be Friday, November 20, 2015, from 6-8:30 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Saturday at 2:30 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Bill Hubble officiating. Burial will be in Barnett Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tyson Johnston, Tyler Jones, Larry Hughes, Timmy Anderson, Freddie Johnston, and Bill Barrow. The family would like to thank Dr. Davis and all the Angels of Glenwood Nursing Home for their loving care. Greenhill Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
