Obituary of Evelyn Smith

Evelyn J. Smith, 92, of Lexington, AL, passed away October 26, 2015 after an extended illness. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and a member of Three Forks Baptist Church. Mrs. Smith is survived by son John Davis of Lexington; daughters Betty Davis Clemmons of Greenhill, AL and Bobbie Davis Patterson of Sharpsburg, GA; brother William Bills; sisters Flo (Floetta) Brindley and Dollie Joy Dick; grandchildren Valerie Patterson Shellnutt, Tracey Patterson Canavan, Troy Daniel Davis, Toby Lee Davis, Sebrina Davis, Bobby Thompkins, Chris Thompkins, River Thompkins, Eathen Thompkins, and Mazie Thompkins; (11) great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents Ollie and Viola Lindsay Bills and by husbands Wilbur Smith and Rev. Robert Daniel Davis Visitation will be Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 11:00 A.M.-2:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The burial will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. Gregg Woodward officiating. Burial will be in Killen Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bobby Thompkins, River Thompkins, Eathen Thompkins, Chris Shellnutt, Tyler Shellnutt, and Jimmy Canavan. Honorary pallbearers will be Dale Chandler, Chris Thompkins, and William Lloyd Patterson. Greenhill Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
