Obituary of Agnes Hall

Mary Agnes Putman Hall, 86, of Lexington, AL, passed away September 21, 2015 after an extended illness. Mrs. Hall was a homemaker. She was a lifelong, faithful Christian and currently a member of Elgin Hills Church of Christ, where she was a bible school and classroom teacher. Mrs. Hall loved to garden and cook. She loved preparing food for her family and friends especially. Mrs. Hall felt very blessed by all her family and friends. Mrs. Hall is survived by daughter Linda Dian Hall; son Henry Keith Hall of Dubai, UAE; granddaughter Mona Hall; niece Dr. Vicki (Eric) Martin of Birmingham, AL; nephew Steve Rutland of Tuscaloosa, AL; great-nephews Andrew (Holly) Martin of Byrant, AR and Chase (Natalie) Martin of Birmingham; and sister-in-law Bobbie (Whit) Rutland of Tuscaloosa. She was preceded in death by her parents Virgil Lawerance Putman and Mary Bessie Alexander Putman; and by her husband Henry Green Hall. Visitation for Mrs. Hall will be Saturday, September 26, 2015 from 12:30-2:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Dwight McGee and Tony Hudson officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eric Martin, Andrew Martin, Chase Martin, Steve Rutland, Charles Shoemaker, Benny Littrell, Tommy Hill, and O'Neal Thigpen. Honorary pallbearers will be Phil Collier, Glenn McInnish, Tony Dean, and Rayburn Scott. The family would like to express their special appreciation to all the medical staff at UAB who gave such excellent care. They would like to thank Dr. Holcomb and Dr. Courtney in Palliative Care; Dr. Bevis and her Oncology staff and Dr. Nix in Urology. The family would also like to thank Dr. David Hollis and his staff in Killen and to send a special appreciation to Home Instead of Florence and Birmingham. Greenhill Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
