Obituary of Wava Hurst

Wava Dickerson Hurst, 84, of Loretto, TN, passed away May 9, 2011, after an extended illness. She was a homemaker and a Christian. Mrs. Hurst attended St. Joseph Methodist Church and was a member of the St. Joseph Senior Center. She enjoyed sewing, traveling and music. Survivors include: Son: Stanley Hurst (Jan) - Greenhill, AL Daughters: Judith Davenport (Jerone) - Waynesboro, TN Sandra Hurst- Florence, AL Jill Sewell (Tony) - St. Joseph, TN Brother: Kenneth Dickerson- Greenhill, AL Grandchildren: Kelly Rogers Peters, Jeremy Rogers, Josh Rogers, Jody Rogers, Wes Sewell, Maggie Hurst, Clint Sewell and Sam Hurst Great Grandchildren: Zayle Sewell, Cohen Rogers, Andon Rogers, Gage Sewell, Bradyn Rogers, Savanna Peters and Cara Grace Berry She was preceded in death by: Husband: Paul Reuben Hurst Daughter: Cathy Hurst Rogers Parents: Oral Braxton and Delia Clemmons Dickerson Brothers: Charles Lee, Otis, Ray, Faye, Marion and Clettis Dickerson Sisters: Mary Ellen Dixon and Clara McLaughlin Visitation will be Wednesday, May 11, 2011 from 5:00 -9:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Thursday in the chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. William Beal officiating. The music will be provided by The Mainstreet Melodies of St. Joseph. The burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Rogers, Josh Rogers, Jody Rogers, Wes Sewell, Clint Sewell and Sam Hurst.
