Obituary of JB "Beady" Gist

JB "Beady" Gist, 80, of Killen, AL, passed away August 18, 2015, after an extended illness. Mr. Gist was retired from the United States Army and was a Vietnam War Veteran. Mr. Gist was a member of Center Hill Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife Vera "Polly" Gist; son Michael Gist (Debbie); daughter Susan Clark (Steve); grandchildren Amanda Danehower (Greg), Michael Gist (Lisa), Christopher and Katie Clark, and Caitlyn Luttrell; and great-grandchildren Chloe Danehower, Alexandria and Eli Gist, and Stella Grimmie.
Visitation for Mr. Gist will be Thursday, August 20, 2015 from 12-2:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. Greg Dial officiating. Burial will be in Center Hill Cemetery with full military honors.
JB was a wonderful Christian husband, father, and grandfather. God came first, family second and America came third. He loved everyone and was a Deacon in the church.
