Obituary of Tollie Balentine

Tollie Balentine, 87, of Lexington, AL, passed away February 12, 2015 after an extended illness. Mr. Balentine was a member of Rogersville Church of God and the Teamsters Local 320. He was retired from TVA as a warehouse supervisor and was a United States Navy Seaman First Class in World War II. Mr. Balentine is survived by wife Betty Jo Burch; sons Bobby, Burt, Dale, Jeff, Danny, and James Balentine; daughters Brenda Woodall, Jeanie Davis, and Julie Conerly; brothers John and Holly Balentine; sister Opel Aday; (15) grandchildren; (24) great-grandchildren; and (7) step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Jessie and Lillie Balentine; brothers Garrett, Will, and Hassell Balentine; and sister Nettie Ledlow. Visitation for Mr. Balentine will be Friday, February 13, 2015 from 5-8:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Saturday at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Wayland Hill officiating. Burial will be in Barnett Cemetery with full military honors. His sons will serve as pallbearers. Greenhill Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
