Obituary of Marjorie Quillen

Marjorie Ann Burks Quillen, 90, of Florence, AL, passed away January 26, 2015 of an extended illness. Mrs. Burks was a homemaker and a Methodist. Mrs. Quillen is survived by sons Jackie Quillen (Kathy), Barry Quillen (Dale), and Darryl Quillen (Pam); daughter Melissa Quillen; brothers Harold and Jimmy Burks; daughter-in-law Donna Quillen; (9) grandchildren; and (10) great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents Joe Wheeler Burks, Sr. and Myrtle Alma Nichols Burks; son Leon Quillen; and brothers J.W., Roy, Ray, and Tommy Burks. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 28, 2015 from 5-8:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Thursday at 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Jack Flowers officiating. Burial will be in Emmaline Stutts Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Quillen, Dustin Quillen, Daniel Quillen, Jon Flowers, Scott Trotter, Jonathan Bassham, Dylan Springer, Trevor Quillen, and Logan Flowers. Honorary pallbearers will be Zach Quillen, Zach Bassham, and Braxton Springer. The family would like to especially thank the Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home family and Hospice of the Shoals. Greenhill Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
