Obituary of Jerry Reed Clemmons

Jerry Reed Clemmons, 83, of Killen, AL, passed away December 21, 2014 after a brief illness. Mr. Clemmons was a retired chemist with TVA and IFDC, a United States Army Veteran, and a member of North Carolina Church of Christ.
Mr. Clemmons is survived by his wife Eldora Peck Clemmons; daughters Jane Robinson (Doug) and Beth Mansell (John); and grandchildren Rachel Robinson, Scarlett Robinson, Ben Mansell, and Sam Mansell. He was preceded in death by his parents Leon Posey Clemmons and Flora Riley Clemmons and his brother George Arthur Clemmons.
Visitation for Mr. Clemmons will be Tuesday, December 23, 2014 from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. at North Carolina Church of Christ. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 P.M. with Vance Henry, Ricky Rogers, Tom McCafferty, Ben Mansell, and Sam Mansell officiating. Burial will be in North Carolina Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Harrison Lee (Ike) Clemmons, Leon Grigsby, Alton Peck, Gerald Peck, Greg Hamner, and Jim Clemmons, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Alton Parker, Horace Hamner, Neal Williams, Dwight Taylor, Pete Killen, Houston Seat, Charlie Murner, and Charles Clemmons.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Gentiva Hospice for all their help and support and an extra special thanks to nurse Joloyce O'Malley, RN. The family wishes to thank all of their loving friends and family for their on-going love and support.
