Mr. James Talmadge Price, Sr., 82, of Florence, passed away April 4, 2011, at his residence after an extended illness. He was a retired Methodist Minister and a Veteran of the U. S. Army with service during the Korean War. Survivors include: Wife: Gretchen Gregory Price - Florence Son: James T. Price, Jr. (Ruth) - Florence Brothers: Eugene Price (Bonnie) - Birmingham Joseph Claude Price (Nancy) - Dadeville, AL Jerry Wayne Price (Carolyn) - Haleyville, AL Donald Justin Price (Carol) - Warrior, AL Sisters: Evelene Scott (W. C.) - Hamilton, AL Doris Baggett (J. D.) - Bear Creek, AL Lula Jane Frederick (Royce) - Bear Creek, AL Granddaughter: Carrie Ray Price Preceded in death by: Parents : Horace Holden Price and Janie Price Brothers: Robert Lee Price and Charles Hudon Price Visitation will be Wednesday, April 6, from 4:00-6:30pm at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 6:30pm in the funeral home chapel with Dr. John Yeates and Rev. William H. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Tree Cemetery, Hackelburg, AL, on Thursday, April 7 at 10:30am. Pallbearers will be nephews. Honorary Pallbearers will be Retired United Methodist Church Ministers of the Florence area. The family would like to thank Dr. Webb and the nurses and staff of Hospice of the Shoals for their care. Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
