Obituary of Gentry Lindsey

Gentry Aaron Lindsey, 87, of Lexington, AL, passed away October 9, 2014 after an extended illness. Mr. Lindsey was a retired truck driver and a member of Plainview Church of Christ. He was a World War II United States Army Veteran. Mr. Lindsey is survived by his wife of 69 years, Frances Jaynes Lindsey; son Larry Lindsey and wife Kathy; daughters Susan Lindsey Miller and husband Joe, Sandra Lindsey Collins, and Shirley Lindsey Wallace; sisters Edna McCormick and Marie Pigg; (8) grandchildren; (12) great-grandchildren; and (3) great-greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents Charles Edward Lindsey and Myrtle Ruple Lindsey and his sisters Mable Melton, Roberta Waddell, and Melissa Hamm. Visitation will be Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 12-2:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Bill Lyons officiating. Burial will be in Centerhill Cemetery with full military honors. Pallbearers will be Tommy Wallace, TJ Wallace, Shaun Kelsoe, Matt Crosslin, Micah Miller, and Jeremy Evans. Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Balentine, Jeffrey Balentine, Jacob Balentine, Joe Miller, David Wallace, Amanda Kelsoe, Sabrina Lindsey, and Martha Dale. Greenhill Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
