Obituary of James Leonard Couch

James Leonard Couch, 74, of Florence, AL, passed away September 23, 2014 after an extended battle with cancer. Mr. Couch was retired from Lauderdale County Landfill and attended Stutts Road Church of Christ. Mr. Couch is survived by daughter Phillis Davis; brother Doyce Ellis Couch; and (2) grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Jesse Lee Couch and Helen Eads Stutts Couch and his brother Eulis Lee Couch. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 24, 2014 from 11:00 A.M. - 12:00 Noon at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 12:00 Noon with Bro. Perry Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Hill Cemetery. The family would like to thank Hospice of the Shoals for their great care given during Mr. Couch's illness. They would also like to thank Northwest Cancer Center for their help and kindness and also their dear friend Donnie Bretherick for all his help. God bless all of these people for the good deeds done for the family. Thanks also to all the church members for all the food, visits, cards, and most of all the prayers during this difficult time.
