Obituary of Paris "Billy" Rogers

Paris Arnold (Billy) Rogers, 91, of Killen, AL, passed away August 27, 2014 at his home of an extended illness. Mr. Rogers was a retired electrician and farmer and a member of I.B.E.W. 558 since November 1945. He was also a Methodist and a United States Army Veteran of World War II. Mr. Rogers is survived by his wife Doris Spears Rogers; sons Tim Rogers of Athens and Rickey Rogers of Killen; daughter Brenda Phillips (Jim) of Killen; and brothers John Rogers of Huntsville and Robert Rogers (Dell) of Killen. Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by his parents Ira Norman and Clara Mae Hill Rogers; son Gerald Rogers; brothers Charles and Tom Rogers; sisters Josephine Gray and Marilyn Raney. Visitation will be Saturday, August 30, 2014, from 11-1:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 P.M. with Bro. Mark Woodruff officiating. Burial will be in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank Hospice of North Alabama, especially nurses Melinda Sherrill, Sandy Pitts, and nurse's aide Koko.
