Obituary of Jewell Perry

Nova Jewell Perry, 85, of Killen, AL, passed away August 22, 2014 after an extended illness. Mrs. Perry was born in Lawrenceburg, TN and was a retired cafeteria worker at the University of North Alabama. She was a member of Christian Fellowship Baptist Church. Mrs. Perry is survived by sons Barry Gordon Perry and wife Melissa; Randal Dale Perry and wife Susan; and Jeffrey Morgan Perry and wife Cindy; her sister Sarah Bowden Threet; (6) grandchildren; and (6) great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents John Morgan and Pearl Gertrude Beck Pitts and by her husband Cortez Perry. Visitation will be Sunday, August 24, 2014 from 1-3:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 P.M. with Bro. William Hamilton officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Lawrence County, TN. Pallbearers will be Joshua Perry, Daniel Perry, Taylor Perry, Terry Jones, Donnie Perry, and Tim Tankersley. The family would like to send a special thanks to AlaCare Hospice, especially Lauren and Violetta. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN. Greenhill Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
