Obituary of Franklin Trousdale

Franklin Trousdale, 83, of Florence, AL, passed away July 18, 2014 after an extended illness. Mr. Trousdale was a retired home cabinet construction carpenter and a member of the Florence Boulevard Church of Christ. He was also a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Trousdale's survivors include his wife Shelby Davis Trousdale; son Darryl Trousdale (Susan) of Huntsville; daughters Dianne Rickman (Steve), Sherry Chaney (Ronald), and Tabitha Clemons (Kevin), all of Florence; sisters Ethel Wells of Arizona and Elizabeth Thigpen of Georgia; grandsons Josh Hanback, Ryan Rickman, Will Clemons, Trent Trousdale, and Garrett Trousdale; granddaughters Toni Phillips, Jenny Brooks, and Katie Clemons; great-granddaughters Ella Rickman, Addy Rickman, Reagan Phillips, and McKinley Phillips. Mr. Trousdale was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Selma Lightblue Trousdale. Visitation will be Sunday, July 20, 2014 from 1-3:00 P.M. at Florence Boulevard Church of Christ. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 P.M. at the church. Burial will be at Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Josh Hanback, Ryan Rickman, Will Clemons, Stephen Phillips, Lee Brooks, and Robbie Trousdale. Honorary pallbearers will be Trent Trousdale and Garrett Trousdale. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to North Alabama Christian Children's Home: 6360 CR 63, Killen, AL 35645 Greenhill Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
