Bobby William Burbank, Sr., 82, of Greenhill, AL, passed away June 27, 2014 after a brief illness. Mr. Burbank was retired from Reynolds Metals and was a United States Navy Veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Burbank was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Korean War Veterans Association, Knights of Columbus, and the American Legion. Survivors include his wife Marie Cooper Burbank; sons Bobby Burbank Jr. (Valerie) and Morris Burbank (Anita); daughters Rose Garrison (Keith), Vicky Purser (Dennis), and Sharon Cody (Jeff); brothers Doug, Jimmy, and Charles Burbank; sister Cora Fetro; (15) grandchildren; and (15) great-grandchildren. Mr. Burbank was preceded in death by his parents Delbert and Viola Springer Burbank; son David Burbank; and brothers Herman Wright, Frank Burbank, James Burbank, and Robert Burbank. Visitation will be Saturday, June 28, 2014 from 5-8:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home with the prayer service at 7:00 P.M. The funeral service will be Sunday at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Deacon Sam Beckman and Father Lucas Arulappa officiating. Burial will be in Richardson Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeffery Burbank, Josh Putnam, Dennis Purser, Mike Desruisseaux, Keith Garrison, and Jase Peck. Members of the Knights of Columbus will serve as honorary pallbearers. Greenhill Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
