Obituary of Christine Hardeman

Gladys Christine Hardeman, 83, of Killen, AL, passed away June 24, 2014 after an extended illness. Mrs. Hardeman was a homemaker, a switch board operator for Southern Bell Telephone Company of Florence for several years, a 1949 graduate of Lexington High School, and a life member of Antioch Church of Christ.
Survivors include sons Phillip Dean Hardeman and Larry Chris Hardeman and wife Danonda; daughters Amy Suzanne Hardeman and Jill Lanee Eldridge and husband Douglas; son-in-law Michael Hollandsworth; sister Millinea Southern; grandchildren Alisha (Chad) Crunk, Amanda (Brad) Irons, Drew and Brittany Hardeman, and Paige and Josh Eldridge; and great-grandchildren Caleb and Elizabeth Christine Crunk and Braylee Irons.
Mrs. Hardeman was preceded in death by her husband Larry Dean Hardeman; daughter Vickie Jane Hollandsworth; parents Charles Henry and Margaret Elizabeth (Lizzie) Jones; brothers Reed, Jesse, Clifton, Charles Henry (C.H.) Jr., and Otis Jones; and sisters Idell Smith and Murtle Clemmons.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 26, 2014 from 5-8:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Friday at 1:00 P.M. at Antioch Church of Christ with Bro. Bill Brazier and Bro. David O'Connell officiating. The casket will lie in state at the church from 12-1:00 P.M. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Doyle Lee Jones, Michael Hollandsworth, Rocky Southern, Tim Southern, Josh Eldridge, and Drew Hardeman.
The family would like to thank the 5th Floor nurses at ECM Hospital and also Tennessee Valley Hospice for their great care during her illness.
