Born April 29, 1929, Frances Louise Balch Williams, 84, of Lexington died peacefully in the presence of family at Glenwood Nursing Home Tuesday afternoon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Villard and Clayton Balch and grand-daughter, Lydia Williams. She is survived by her children Danny (Marilyn) Williams of Lexington, AL, Jenny (Jay) Mooney of Lawrenceville, GA, Connie Pierce of Lexington, AL , Kay Fleming of Belton, TX , and Mark (Arlene) Williams of Madison, AL , 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, and her siblings: Wendell Balch, Zelma Hayes, Marcie Bullock, J.V. Balch, Ralph Balch, Ruth Mashburn, Carol Riddle, Ray Balch, Anthony Balch, and Melinda McGee. Funeral arrangements are being managed by Greenhill Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10 AM-noon Friday, April 11th at the funeral home on US 43 in Greenhill with the service following at noon with Pastor Sam Hayes officiating. Interment will follow at the Nebo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jake Frye, Jason Moore, Daniel Noles, Jeremy Noles, Jay Weathers, and Luke Williams. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Villard and Clayton Balch Scholarship Fund at UNA: UNA Foundation, UNA Box 5113, Florence, AL 35632-0001, una.edu/give/ The family wishes to thank the staff of Glenwood Nursing Home for caring for Louise the last several months of her life.
