Obituary of James Lewis Hill

James Lewis Hill, 81, of Florence, passed away March 14, 2011, at his home of an extended illness. He was a carpenter, farmer, and a member of the Stutts Road Church of Christ. Survivors include: Daughters: Linda F. Dean - Greenhill Kathy J. Eckl (Tommy)- Florence Wilma M. Balentine and husband Donnie - Greenhill Sisters: Dorthy Canerday- Greenhill Maudean Crosby- Conneticut Verlie Clemons- Greenhill (10) Grandchildren,( 9) Great-grandchildren, and (1) Great-Greatgrandchild Preceded in death by: Parents: Hugh Mason and Annie Burks Hill Wife: Bobbie Canerday Hill Daughter: Janice Hill Clemons Grandson: Shannon Clemons Son-in-law: Tommy Dean Sister: Ovie Bretherick Infant Sister: Mamie Ethel Hill Brother: Jack Hill Visitation will be Wednesday, March 16, from 5:00 - 9:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held in the chapel Thursday at 1:00 P.M. with Bro. Tim Grigsby and Bro. Charles Kretzer officiating. The casket will lie in state before the service. Burial will be in Emmaline Stutts Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Nathan Dean, Renfred Dean, Jamie Eckl, Ron Eckl, Chad Balentine, and Stanley Bradley.
