Gladys Mae Smith Thomas, 87, of Florence, AL, passed away December 18, 2013 after a brief illness. She was a native of Lauderdale County and a housewife.
Survivors include:
Son: Billy R. Thomas (Janet) of Florence
Daughter: Glenda Adams (Jim) of Florence
Sisters: Dorothy Watkins of Florence and Annie Lois Thigpen of Greenhill
(4) Grandchildren and (6) Greatgrandchildren
Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Lily Richardson Smith; and her husband Jesse Thomas.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 21, 2013 from 10-11:30 A.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held graveside at Rogers Chapel Cemetery at 12:00 P.M with Matt Brewer officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to thank Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home for their care.
