Obituary of Dorothy Davis

Dorothy Naomi Davis Dorothy Naomi Davis, 87, of Killen, passed away October 4, 2013, at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home. She was retired from the textile industry and a member of North Carolina Church of Christ. Survivors include: Sons: Frederick W. Davis and wife Jennifer - Killen Roderick R. Davis and wife Teresa - Muscle Shoals Brother: Alton Parker and wife Barbara - Killen (8) Grandchildren (7) Great Grandchildren Preceded in death by: Husband: Daniel B. Davis Son: Roger Davis Parents: James Raymond and Lou Ella Parker Visitation will be Sunday, October 6, from 11:30-1:30 at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:30pm with Miles Stutts and Jerry Reed Clemmons officiating. Burial will follow in North Carolina Church of Christ Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John D. Davis, Thomas W. Davis, Eric Davis, Rodney Pettus, Douglas W. Parker, Tom McCafferty, and Robert Perry. Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Truitt, Horace Davis, and Delton Davis. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the North Carolina Church of Christ Cemetery Fund. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home for the wonderful care given to their mother, and also to the staff of Greenhill Funeral Home.
