Chesley G. "Jr." East, 72, of Loretto, TN, passed away March 10, 2011 at his residence of an extended illness. He was a factory worker and a Catholic. Survivors include: Mother: Maudie East Daughters: Carolyn Hardiman (Thomas) of St. Joseph, TN Linda Emnace (Raul) of Loretto,TN Mary Gabbett (Doug) of Loretto, TN Brothers: Dwain East of Columbus, IN Danny East of Lexington, AL Kenneth East of Lexington, AL Sisters: Joyce Wilson of Athens, AL Jean McElroy of Columbus, IN Nora Bee Pennington of Edinburg, IN Betty Byrd of Florence, AL Faye East of Lexington, AL (8) Grandchildren He was preceded in death by: his father Chesley G. East Sr.; his wife Dorothy Simbeck East; his sisters Jewel Whitis and Violet Cochran; and his brother Lavaughn East. Visitation will be Friday, March 11 from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home with a prayer service at 6:00 P.M. The funeral service will be Saturday, March 12, at 2:30 P.M. at Sacred Heart Church in Loretto with Father Tomy and Deacon Sammy Beckman officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Loretto. Memorials may be made to Loretto Sacred Heart School or the Etheridge Elementary Library. Greenhill Funeral Home directing.
