Obituary of Delbert Brigance

Delbert Frank Brigance, 87, of Killen, AL, passed on to be with our Lord on July 9, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Brigance was a native of Raleigh, TN and retired from NAPA in 1990 after 45 years of service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greenhill. He previously served Christ as a deacon, music director, and teacher at other churches. He always had a smile on his face and was a true friend. Mr. Brigance was a special man everybody wanted to be around and everybody loved him.
Mr. Brigance is survived by the love of his life and as of June 15th his wife of 39 years, Darline Brigance; his step-son Dave Howard; grandchildren Eric, Brandy, David Ray, and Matthew; six great-grandchildren; nephews Ricky and Greg; nieces Emily, Evelyn, and Joyce; and a cat Daisy who was a big part of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lester Ward and Lottie D. Brigance; brothers Lester, Marvin, and Curtis Brigance; and sister Nell Bell.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 10-11:00 A.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home chapel with burial at Greenhill Cemetery.
