Obituary of Freddie Joe Powell

Freddie Joe "Moose" Powell, 63, of St. Joseph, TN, passed away June 3, 2013 after an extended illness. Mr. Powell was a native of Lawrence County, TN and was retired from Murray Ohio Manufacturing. Survivors include: Wife: Audrey Sue Head Powell Sons: George Matthew Scott, Buford Glen Scott Jr., and special son John Henry "John Boy" Powell Jr. Daughters: Shannon Regina Tays and Lacey Renee Doherty Brother: James Michael "J.P." Powell Sisters: Vertie Mae Ells, Violet Lurlene Hindman, and Vergie Maxine Nix Numerous Grandchildren and nieces and nephews Mr. Powell was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Lillie Clemons Powell; brothers John Henry Powell Sr. and Emment Lee Powell; and sisters Mary Magdelene Clemons and Louedna Elizabeth Gable. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 5, 2013 from 5-8:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Thursday at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home chapel with Jon Shepherd officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery. Greenhill Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. You may sign the online guestbook at greenhillfuneralhome.net
