Ruth K. Pettus
My mother, mother-in-law, grandmother. Ruth K. Pettus, 87, of Lexington, passed away March 15, 2013, at her residence. She was a member of Green's Chapel United Methodist Church, and retired from Salant & Salant (M. Fine), Lexington Senior Citizens Center, and a retired farmer.
Survivors include: Son: Mark Pettus and wife Martha Ann of Lexington Grandson: Wilton-Mark Pettus Sisters-in-law: Marie Hill and Alice Killen
Preceded in death by: Husband: Wilton Vayron Pettus Parents: Sid and Sallie Thompson Killen
Visitation will be Sunday, March 17, from 4:00-8:00pm at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Monday at 2:00pm at the funeral home with Bro. Bill Smith, Bro. Randy French, and Bro. Ricky Green officiating. Burial will be in Pettus Cemetery in Lexington.
Pallbearers will be Tim Tomas, Gary Tomaszewski, Robert Pettus, Randy Pettus, Tommy Hill, and Hunter Killen.
The family would like to thank Hospice Amedisys and Courtney Abston for their care.
