Don Wayne Horton, 60, of Florence, passed away January 23, 2013 at ECM Hospital in Florence. He was a painter and a member of Community Free Will Baptist Church, Sunday School teacher for 10 years, and a song leader. He loved his Lord and church family and was an avid Alabama fan. Survivors include: Daughter: Misty Dean and husband, Wendell and their children Kendell and Cassie Brooke Mother: Ruth Horton Son: Bradley Yeates (Amanda) and their children Lexie, Aly, and Karalynn Beloved Son: Cherished pet - Max Sister: Linda Abston (Bill) Twin Sister: Teresa Riedout (Ricky) Preceded in death by: Father: James Horton Wife: Carolyn Hearn Horton Brothers: Gary and Phillip Horton Visitation will be Saturday, January 26, at Community Free Will Baptist Church from 12:00-1:00pm. The funeral service will follow at 1:00pm with Bro. Malcolm Scott and Bro. Emerald Bailey officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny Gray, Shawn Riedout, Joshua Beard, Benjamin Matthews, Danny Hannah, Shane King, Scott Green, and Keith Horton. Honorary pallbearers will be Wendell Dean (son-in-law) and Kendell Dean (grandson). Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
